Classic 107.3 Hires Veteran Classical Radio Personality John Nasukaluk Clare as CEO & GM

St. Louis, MO., Friday, September 27, 2019 – John Nasukaluk Clare, a veteran classical music leader and radio broadcaster, begins his tenure as Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Classic 107.3, “The Voice for the Arts in St. Louis”, on Monday, October 14th.

With 25 years of experience in public radio, John has previously served as content director of KMFA Austin and has held such senior positions as program director of San Antonio’s KPAC, and executive director of San Antonio’s SOLI Chamber Ensemble. Clare most recently was Music Director at Purdue University’s public radio station, and morning drive host of Sirius XM’s coast-to-coast “Symphony Hall” on Channel 76.

“I am delighted to lead the well-respected on-air hosts and staff at Classic 107.3, with such great ties to the St. Louis community, and help collaborate with so many arts partners,” John says.

John succeeds Jim Connett, who was the station manager since Classic 107.3 began broadcasting on April 8, 2013. The national search was conducted by a committee comprised of station staff and members of the board of directors.

Chair of the Board of Directors, James L. Nouss, Jr. adds, “We are thrilled to have attracted someone of John Clare’s experience and talents and who has such a large national following.  We look for John to bring his extraordinary energy and creativity to take Classic 107.3 to new heights. John is a networker who will lead us in connecting the arts and music organizations in St. Louis to our audiences through Classic 107.3.”
