July 24: Music by Latin American musicians who cross over successfully between genres. Selections include both popular songs and classical works by Cuban Ernesto Lecuona and Mexico’s Manuel Ponce. Then, hear Cuban jazz trumpeter Arturo Sandoval playing his own concerto as well as one by Leopold Mozart, and a tango for two pianos and orchestra by Argentine film composer Federico Jusid.
