July 6: Superstar violinist Gil Shaham joins music director Michael Tilson Thomas and the orchestra for a concerto with a very twisted history. Also featured is the world premiere of a work written in honor of Michael Tilson Thomas, and the work that brought Tchaikovsky back from the brink of suicide.
