Local composer and musician Kim Portnoy talks about his new CD of chamber music, called Caprice, with host Jim Doyle. Professor Portnoy, who is also the Director of Composition and an Associate Professor of Music Composition, Orchestration and Jazz Studies at Webster University, discusses the composing process and working with local groups to bring his music to life. Accompanying Kim is Associate Professor of Music at St. Charles Community College, Jim Martin — also a well-known St. Louis musician — who produced the disc.
