John Nasukaluk Clare, CEO and General Manager

jclare@classic1073.org

John Clare is comfortable speaking behind a microphone, streaming video or playing violin. A former broadcaster for NPR, John has previously worked with Voice of America, the Canadian Broadcast Corporation and stations in Texas, Kansas, Nevada, California, and Pennsylvania. In 2005, Clare earned the Deems Taylor Award from ASCAP for radio broadcasting.

Having performed with famed tenors Luciano Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli, Clare has played or worked with the Mid Texas Symphony, Nevada Chamber Symphony, Shreveport Symphony, Abilene Philharmonic and Wichita Symphony Orchestra. An avid chamber music lover, John founded the Las Vegas Chamber Music Society in 2004.

Jim Doyle, Host

jdoyle@classic1073.org

The morning host for Classic 107.3, Jim got his start in radio while working on a journalism degree in college. Many listeners might remember him from his days as the afternoon drive host and music director for KEZK or as a morning host and director at the former WMRY.

In his 40 years in the business, Jim’s spent the majority of his time in St. Louis, with a couple of left turns in Osaka, Japan and San Diego, California. He likes mountain bike riding and hanging out at Soulard Market, and firmly believes that Bob Dylan is Antonín Dvořák reincarnated…

Brandon LaMew, Production Manager

As Production Manager for Classic 107.3, Brandon is able to utilize his creativity, skills and deep recordings knowledge to the utmost. He learned many “tricks of the trade” working at KFUO and on albums for his own signed band.

Brandon was a musician at a young age, studying music theory and composing for guitar. He gained professional experience by producing an album that he wrote and engineered, which landed his band a recording contract and national tour. Brandon is also a free-lance film critic and has written essays and reviews for Netflix and Ladue News. A perfectionist by nature, he strives to imbue Classic 107.3 with an elegant sound that is unique to the St. Louis airwaves.

Kathy Lawton Brown, Host

klbrown@classic1073.org

Classic 107.3’s midday host, Kathy has been a professional singer since she was 17 and was one of the first female members of The United States Air Force Band’s “Singing Sergeants”. Since the service, she has been a featured soloist with choruses, orchestras, concert bands and chamber ensembles in the United States, Canada and China. Kathy has served for many years as principal contralto and soloist with the baroque ensemble American Kantorei.

Kathy has served on the boards of many local arts organizations, including the E. Desmond Lee Music Collaborative, Artist Presentation Society and St. Louis Children’s Choirs. Proving that you can take the girl out of the Air Force but not the other way around, Kathy is fascinated by vintage aircraft.

Julie Schuster, Producer/Host

jschuster@classic1073.org

Producer, weekend host, and social media maven for Classic 107.3, Julie started as a part-time announcer just six months after the station went on the air. Currently, you can hear her on Sunday mornings and late weeknights; in addition, her popular Sunday Matinee on Broadway program airs at least every other weekend.

Julie sight-reads antique piano music, sings show tunes in her car, and spends her free time volunteering for her sons’ schools and other charitable causes.

Linda Shedlofsky, Development Director

lshedlofsky@classic1073.org

Linda has 35 years of corporate experience at Fortune 500 companies, as well as eight years in development between Washington University and the station. Linda is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP St. Louis Regional Chapter) and the Grant Professionals Association of St. Louis.

Linda’s love of classical music began at the age of nine, when she attended her first concert at Severance Hall and heard the Cleveland Orchestra under the direction of George Szell. Her first jazz concert happened shortly thereafter at the Blossom Music Center, where she heard Dave Brubeck. Music continues to be an important part of Linda’s life as she enjoys attending jazz clubs, community concerts and Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra concerts at Powell Hall.

Tom Sudholt, Host

tsudholt@classic1073.org
Classic 107.3 afternoon’s host, Tom knows classical music inside and out. He was one of the principal voices and music architects at KFUO for 24 years, serving as the weekday morning drive announcer and host for Friday Morning with the Arts as well as Saturday Afternoon at the Opera. Tom’s encyclopedic knowledge of music history encompasses all the major periods, repertoire, recordings, individual performing artists and groups.

Tom is also an audio producer and technician, and in his spare time, labors over iconic classical recordings to improve their sound quality for broadcast at Classic 107.3
